Last week, the team at Clarity Benefit Solutions came together for a powerful and hands-on team building experience. During their event, they assembled and donated more than 120 care packages to support U.S. service members currently deployed overseas.
The care packages included snacks, hygiene products, games, and handwritten notes from the Clarity team. These small but meaningful gestures are now on their way to troops serving in difficult and remote conditions around the world.
Where Are the Packages Going?
Some of the packages are headed to the USS Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee (DDG-123), a Navy destroyer operating in the Pacific. The ship’s motto is Bellatrix Illa, Latin for “She is a Warrior.” Several of the handwritten messages included this phrase as a show of support to the crew aboard.
Others will be delivered to a National Guard unit currently deployed to Iraq, where a senior non-commissioned officer is distributing packages to a team of soldiers under her care. These packages will help lift spirits and provide a small sense of home during a challenging deployment.
Another portion is going to a 17-year Army veteran currently serving on her fourth overseas deployment. This holiday season marks the first time she and her spouse will be apart since getting married, making the Clarity team’s support especially meaningful.
